One more...

NV Day 12: Weighing in...

I lost one more pound! Two weeks on NV and I've lost a total of three pounds and managed to keep it off. As far as I'm concerned this is great progress! Especially considering I've had ice cream and a little bit of chocolate cake. I'm not starving myself, or giving up everything good to eat and I'm still losing weight.

Weight: 155

NV truely is the wonder diet pill.

Real Women Have Curves

Queen Latifah graces the cover of the latest issue of People Magazine where she states she loves her curves!

I've always loved Queen Latifah. She is a talented musician and actress that carries herself with grace and class in a Hollywood world where an actress' status is usually measured by her dress size. Queen Latifah has survived as a beautiful woman with curves and as a positive role model for women of all ages.

She's Curvalicious!

In her interview with People Magazine Queen Latifah said: "the definition of beauty is changing.

Beauty is not just a white girl. It's so many different flavors and shades. It's good for regular girls because the meter (for beauty) has been a slim white girl.

(In Hollywood) we've definitely gotten better with body type. It used to be just me! Now with Jennifer Hudson's success and America Ferrera, I got some successors to take the reins on this whole bodylicious thing."

I think what we can learn from Queen Latifah is to be happy with who we are no matter what size we may be. There is beauty in every size. And a positive self-image shines outward from within.

Losing weight is good, but becoming a stick figure is unhealthy. Real women have curves!

I want to lose a few pounds but keep my curves.

Willpower still required!

NV Day 10: Willpower.

In the second week of taking NV I have discovered that willpower is still required.

During the first week, NV was like a beta blocker taking away all cravings for snacks, chocolate, ice cream and everything else I love to eat too much.

However, after NV has been in your system for a week or so I have found myself resorting to willpower to stay away from those temptations. I'm still not hungry. NV is working, but now I have to resist eating chocolate whereas the first week I didn't even think about eating chocolate.

Repeat after me... willpower, willpower, willpower!

Two Pounds!

NV Day 5: Weighing in...

I stepped on the scale this morning, stepped off, then stepped on again just to make sure the weight registering on the scale wasn't a fluke. It wasn't.

After just five days on NV the wonder diet pill, I've lost two pounds! TWO POUNDS! Amazing!

Weight: 156.

Personally, I think it was the ice cream.

Tomorrow I'll probably be back up to 158, but I've enjoyed losing those two pounds all day today.

Ice Cream is diet food, right?

NV Day 4: The ice cream dilema.

"Ice Cream is diet food, right?" My friend asked as we headed to Rosemary's.

"Sure, besides we've been really good all week on NV."

"We deserve a treat then!"

I don't know about my friend's ice cream sundae, but my scoop of chocolate ice cream was the best tasting ice cream I'd had in ages! NV takes away the urge to snack but that doesn't mean I don't miss the ice cream and chocolate.

NV the wonder diet pill

Day two on NV and my hunger is completely gone! In fact I had to force myself to eat lunch and dinner for I wasn't hungry at all.

NV the wonder diet pill has completely conquered my bad habit of snacking in between meals. The candy dish full of bite size snickers on the credenza at work is usually a huge temptation for me but with NV I haven't even wanted one. I think NV is holding the chocolate gene in my brain hostage.

I'm drinking lots of water and trying to stay away from the sodas and junk food.

So far things are looking good...

Weighing in...

The launch of this blog along with the diet I started today are both long overdue, I've been suffering from the tight pants syndrome for far too long.

So today I'm weighing in hoping the humiliation of going public with my weight and blogging about my diet efforts will keep me committed. Luckily I have a friend who is willing to try this diet thing with me, which should help.

Weight: A shocking 158!

I've done Atkins in the past and had success, but it's a very difficult diet to maintain. You can't eat anything good and the special food is expensive. Plus once you reach your goal weight and start to eat a little normal again, the weight piles back on.

This time around my friend and I are trying a dietary supplement called NV and trying to eat healthier. We'll see how it goes...
